Such a bizarre and fun thing. While it's round in one way, it becomes oblong, or even more distorted shapes the more you turn these gears by squeezing or pushing the surfaces.
I am fascinated and can't seem to put it down once I've picked it up. Smoosh it and watch the gears turn. Very cool!

My 7-11 year olds like it. Good brain game for car or waiting room.
This gear fidget is a large one, best for two handed use. Like most of these. The rainbow colors are beautiful so it can be visually stimulating as well. I have no complaints.
Rotation is somewhat 'bumpy' but understandable given the complexity of the conical gears.
Doesn't spin as a fidget spinner does, takes some concentration to twist correctly,
Multi color of material is very appealing, more so than a solid color.
This ball was (thankfully) smaller than it looked from the pictures. It is about 3 inches in diameter when closed (in its sphere configuration), and very lightweight. It turns out to be a great fidget toy for when I'm in meetings and want to be doing something with my hands while still paying attention to the speakers. The shapes and colors change with every twist and I love to watch the gears work. One of my coworkers thought it so cool they're ordering them for their kids.
Ordered two for my grandsons ,they will love these they have ADHD and AUTISM thank you.
